Fuel Oil
Fuel oil, which is distilled from crude oil and often left as residue during the refining process, refers to a range of the least volatile and heaviest of the commercially used fuels i.e., heavier than gasoline and naphtha.

Middle distillates
The term “middle distillates” is assigned to petroleum products obtained in the “middle” boiling range from about 180°C–360°C during the process of crude oil distillation. They are also called middle distillates because the products are removed at mid-height in the distillation tower during the multi-stage process of thermal separation.

Gasoline and Naphtha
Naphtha and gasoline are petroleum-derived hydrocarbon mixtures. The key difference between naphtha and gasoline is that the term naphtha describes the more volatile forms of petroleum whereas gasoline is a petroleum-derived fuel.
